The Krita Foundation was created in 2012 by Boudewijn Rempt, the maintainer of Krita, to support the community in developing the program. The Krita Foundation supports open access projects like the Comics with Krita DVD, development work by students like Lukas Tvrdy and Dmitry Kazakov and much more.
